• Hollywood story directed by Hollywood guy and a great film.
• Beasts of the Southern Wild – Dan Janvey, Josh Penn, and Michael Gottwald
• Django Unchained – Stacey Sher, Reginald Hudlin, and Pilar Savone
• Les Misérables – Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Debra Hayward, and Cameron Mackintosh
• Life of Pi – Gil Netter, Ang Lee, and David Womark
• Lincoln – Steven Spielberg and Kathleen Kennedy

• Totally engaging, funny and emotionally riveting.

• Just because, whatever got me to love this movie deserves a best director nod.

• It's sweeping.  What you expect of a movie. But.. Spielberg already has one or two.
• Benh Zeitlin – Beasts of the Southern Wild

    Best Actor

• Bradley Cooper – Silver Linings Playbook
• Daniel Day-Lewis – Lincoln
• Lewis inhabited Lincoln. 
• Hugh Jackman – Les Misérables
• Stunning display of diverse talent from a man that has every talent one could want.  Too bad Valjean did not dance.  Jackman is great at that.  And he's dreamy.
• Joaquin Phoenix – The Master
• Denzel Washington – Flight

    Best Actress

• Jessica Chastain – Zero Dark Thirty
• Jennifer Lawrence – Silver Linings Playbook
• Just the best perfomaance of the year.  No contest,
• Emmanuelle Riva – Amour
• Quvenzhané Wallis – Beasts of the Southern Wild
• Naomi Watts – The Impossible

    Best Supporting Actress

• Amy Adams – The Master
• Sally Field – Lincoln
• I really love her.
• Anne Hathaway – Les Misérables
• Anyone else is an underdog.
• Helen Hunt – The Sessions
• I really love her and she was perfect in this unusual, pedestrian role.
• Jacki Weaver – Silver Linings Playbook
• Spot on performance

   Best Supporting Actor

• Amy Adams – The Master
• Sally Field – Lincoln
• Philip Seymour Hoffman – The Master
• Tommy Lee Jones – Lincoln
• His counterplay with Lewis really made the movie and the message.
• Christoph Waltz – Django Unchained

   Best Original Screenplay

• Amour – Michael Haneke
• Django Unchained – Quentin Tarantino
• Hollywood loves Tarantino and, my taste aside, it's a risky take on an important subject.
• Flight – John Gatins
• Moonrise Kingdom – Wes Anderson and Roman Coppola
• This could win just because I did not see it.
• Zero Dark Thirty – Mark Boal
• Brilliantly written dispassionate look at a passionate subject.  Challenging.

   Best Adapted Screenplay

• Argo – Chris Terrio from The Master of Disguiseby Antonio J. Mendez & The Great Escape byJoshuah Bearman
• This is a should and will win for me. Riveting.
• Beasts of the Southern Wild – Lucy Alibar andBenh Zeitlin from Juicy and Delicious by Lucy Alibar
• Life of Pi – David Magee from Life of Pi by Yann Martel
• Lincoln – Tony Kushner from Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln byDoris Kearns Goodwin
