Western Queens for Marriage Equality are not what you might think... they and the Astorians for Marriage Equality are working to change the mind of one entrenched NY Senator George Onorato. An 80 year old Roman Catholic who will not be a lost cause to these persistent groups.
I was lucky to be a participant in a meeting, advertised on Joe. My. God. planning the ways in which the large LGBT community will influence his vote, or, at the very least make sure the world knows he does not represent them.
