Borglum's Iris Gardens

It's that time of year again! Borglum's is favorite destination in the late spring.

Acres and acres of DYO irises. Dig Your Own, named and many from seedlings that you can name yourself.
It's worth the trip to take in the irses, bearded and Siberian, Peonies, lupine and hostas.

It's an amazing bargain basement too! $7 a clump (most of which can easily be split 2 or 3 ways) and if you buy 10 clumps, 2 more are free. We bought 7 which filled the car. A card was cheerily given so that if we return and get 3 more we'll get the bonus.
The Daylilies will out in a month!

The iris above is "Rachel Rose" hybridized at the Garden.

Our friend Myrte joined us. She was visiting from Tennessee...

And we had picked out this iris...

Only to discover it is named "Tennessee Gentleman."

We can't recommend visiting Borglum's enough.
There are no sales on Saturdays.
