Iris Bloom Report 05/23/10 part 1

Iris Bloom Report 05/23/10 part 1

After a weekend away a lot has changed. Many cultivars have bloomed, some are less than expected. I am wondering if the odd weather in late April and early May took its toll.

"Monet's Blue" (Schreiner, 1998) and "Harvest of Memories" (Zurbrigg 1984) Made an appearance this year after being given up for lost. "Batik" appeared in a clump of "Total Recall"... which I suspect is not really "Total Recall."

"Plumeri," a heritage iris that is from 1830 according to Dave's Garden is also in bloom. It's really lovely.
